Here is a sneak peek at the real estate buying process with your Real Estate One agent…


  1. 1. Initial Meeting:
    Your first appointment with your Real Estate One agent is intended to break the ice and get to know one another. During this time, we can determine what exactly you are looking for in a property and what is currently available on the market. This meeting also provides the opportunity to discuss financial matters of obtaining a mortgage pre-approval from a lender and the importance of having it before the property search begins.

  2. 2. Getting Preapproved with Your Lender
    Your Real Estate One agent will be happy to point you in the direction of a lender that can assist with the initial process. Once preapproved, we will then help you understand the loan program made available to you and describe the types of properties that satisfy the lender.

  3. 3. Start Shopping
    Your Real Estate One agent will make a conscious effort to deliver new listings as they enter the market, in addition to previously listed properties for you to review and determine if a showing is imperative. Some purchases only entail one showing and others require multiple showings to find the “right” property. Our agents will stay by your side!

  4. 4. Making an Offer:
    Once you have found the “right” property, your Real Estate One agent will guide you through the process of making a respectable offer, negotiate the details, and coordinate the paperwork involved with purchasing the property.

  5. 5. ACCEPTED OFFER and Contingencies:
    Congratulations! Not only did you find the “right” property, but the seller accepted your offer. At this point, a property inspection can be ordered and performed within a specified number of days after acceptance. Depending on the results of the inspection report, your Real Estate One agent will negotiate repairs or purchase price as your representative. If obtaining a mortgage from a lender, an appraisal will be ordered to provide an independent estimate of the value of the property. Your Real Estate One agent will explain what this report indicates.

  6. 6. Clear to Close:
    Once all the contingencies have been met, the lender will give the Clear to Close and a date and time can be coordinated between the Title Agent, Seller, and you. Your Real Estate One agent will prepare you for closing and walk you through all documentation and paperwork you will be signing during the closing process.

  7. 7. PROPERTY PURCHASED
    Time to celebrate!!!
