The excellent school system consists of a Elementary School, Middle School and a new High School constructed in 1999. Total enrollment for all schools combined is 1288 students. Evart schools also boast an exceptional community education program and recreation program that features softball, volleyball and basketball, as well as little league soccer and baseball for youths.
The City of Evart is an industrialized area located in the West Central portion of Michigan' lower peninsula. Located within the City are several major manufacturing facilities. Within the City are Evart Products Textron, Dean Foods Corporation, The Evart Glass Plant (PPG Corp.), Industrial Tool and Die, McLaughlin Drilling and Greenville Packaging Corporation. Located within a distance of approximately 15 miles are Dewitt Motor Freight, Kalium Potash, Yoplait USA, a Division of General Mills, Tubelite, Nartron, Pilot Tool and Die, Huff Machine and Tool and several other firms.
